Delivery Emissions and Carbon Projects
Since April 2020, we have calculated the CO2 emissions associated with Jackson’s deliveries by land, sea, and air. These delivery emissions have been assessed by 3Degrees.
Based on these calculations, we purchase verified carbon credits through Treepoints, helping to support environmental projects around the world. These credits are separate from the emissions generated by our deliveries and do not make our deliveries carbon neutral.
Alongside this, we are continuing to explore practical ways to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions across our operations and supply chain. At present, 78% of the energy we use is purchased from renewable sources, while a further 17% is generated by our own solar panels.
There is still more to do, and our work to understand and reduce emissions across other parts of our supply chain is ongoing. We welcome ideas and suggestions that can help us continue to improve.
Rewilding / Tree Planting
Since 2011, we have supported tree planting with Trees for Life, a conservation charity working to revitalise wild forests in the Scottish Highlands. Through this partnership, an average of 150 trees have been planted each year. Like many of our customers, the team at Jackson’s is inspired by landscape and nature, and we are pleased to support Trees for Life’s conservation work.
Alongside this, the paper used for our catalogues is FSC-certified. FSC certification supports responsible forest management, including requirements relating to biodiversity, workers and local communities.

Reducing Plastic in our Packaging
We continue to work with suppliers to reduce plastic use in our packaging, increase the use of recyclable and recycled materials where possible, and provide clearer disposal information for customers.
Recyclable, FSC-Certified Cardboard Boxes
Our cardboard shipping boxes are FSC-certified and can be recycled with cardboard. Some of our boxes are also made with a minimum of 90% recycled content.
We use paper tape on our parcels to make it easier to separate and recycle the cardboard packaging you receive from us.
Compostable Packaging Peanuts
Our packaging peanuts are made from starch-based materials and are certified compostable to EN 13432 under industrial composting conditions.
Industrially Compostable PLA Bags
The PLA-N film used for our brush bags and small items is industrially compostable to EU Standard EN 13432. The film biodegrades into water, CO2, and biomass through microbial digestion within six months at 58°C. This film is not certified as home compostable.

Our Delivery Partners
AUSTRALIA POST
Our delivery partner Australia Post is working to reduce emissions across its delivery network, fleet and facilities as part of its target to reach net zero by 2050. In 2025, it reported a 20% reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse-gas emissions compared with its 2019 baseline and sourced 100% renewable electricity for its operational sites.
In 2025, Australia Post operated 5,176 electric delivery vehicles, including bikes and motorbikes, with a further 1,500 electric vehicles planned for deployment. It also reported a 73% recycling rate and a 39% reduction in waste sent to landfill compared with 2019. For more information, visit the Australia Post dedicated webpage.
FEDEX/TNT
Our delivery partner TNT operates as part of FedEx in Australia. FedEx is working to reduce emissions across its global operations as part of its goal to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2040, with initiatives including fleet electrification, aircraft efficiency improvements, renewable energy, and waste reduction.
In fiscal year 2025, FedEx reported 9,446 on-road and off-road electric vehicles deployed worldwide and a 32% reduction in aircraft emissions intensity compared with its 2005 baseline. FedEx is also working towards its goal for its parcel pickup and delivery fleet, including owned and contracted vehicles, to be electric by 2040.
