Clear Dura-Lar film is an ultra-clear, glossy surface. Used as an artwork surface for permanent inks and markers, as well as for protective coverings, layouts, colour separations, and more.
Matte Dura-Lar film has a matt translucent drawing surface on two sides. This film will accept lead, ink, charcoal, paint, and coloured pencils. It erases cleanly and is an economical alternative to Drafting Film.

Great for drawing and painting.
Think of it as a thick plastic sheet that works wonderfully with dry media, you need a white background for it though as it is (semi) transparent. When it comes to oils, I am not a fan of the feel of the brush on plastic, at least in the initial phase, once the layers build up, it's fine. If you work thick from the beginning it wouldn't be an issue. I would mount it on board to prevent damage. Overall I like this product and can totally recommend if you want to try something different.
