Jackson's Smooth Painting Panels are made of MDF and can be bought singularly or in packs of ten. These economical panels boast a surface that is tough enough for the most rigorous painting and mixed-media techniques.
Jackson's Smooth Painting Panels are machine coated with a gesso ground, so that you can paint on them immediately. They are strong, rigid, do not warp and are light to carry. Because they are also moderately absorbent they are great for underpainting or for using for quick oil sketches outside. The surface of the panels is smooth with a slight tooth. The depth of the panel is 3mm with the gesso coating one side.
