Vallejo Artist Acrylic Fluid Colors are made of a range of fine artist pigments suspended in a 100% acrylic emulsion. The viscosity of each color depends on the pigment used, but is in the range of 1,000 to 2,000 cPs, a consistency like that of heavy cream. This renders them suitable for a variety of painting techniques including pouring, splashing, glazing, shading, or washes. They can be thinned and used in an Airbrush or thickened with mediums, texture additives, and gels.
Like all Vallejo Artist Acrylics, these colors are highly lightfast and exhibit a minimal color shift from wet to dry. Once dry they are waterproof, UV-resistant and will not yellow over time. Because they contain no additives, the overall finish of each color when dry depends on the nature of the pigment: some will be more glossy, some more matte; some will be opaque and some translucent.
