Cranfield : Traditional Etching Ink : 250g : Mid Black

An opaque mid-toned carbon black with a low viscosity and a low tack. The mid black works very well for images with line. It has a soft texture and gives a strong print. The ink wipes easily and consistently from the plate giving the printmaker a lot of control over how much ink remains on the plate.

Cranfield Traditional Etching Inks are handcrafted, highly pigmented and include a vast range of colours giving the printmaker a wide choice whether they want to mix their own colours or not. Cranfield Traditional Etching Ink can be used for engraving, etching, drypoint, mezzotint and aquatint printmaking techniques.
