Rembrandt is the oldest and most distinguished brand from Royal Talens, with a legacy that spans over 100 years. The company was founded in 1899 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, by Marten Talens, a former banker. Originally named Talens & Co., the factory first produced office supplies, inks, and varnishes. That same year, it began making Rembrandt Oil Paint, which quickly earned a reputation for excellence.
Rembrandt colours are made with craftsmanship and dedication to quality. Every colour is made using a unique, time-tested formula. Each new batch of raw materials undergoes strict quality checks in Royal Talens’ in-house laboratory.
