Stabilo: Innovating Creativity for Over 150 Years
Stabilo, a division of the family-owned Schwan-Stabilo Group, has been a trusted name in writing instruments and stationery since its founding in 1855 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Stabilo was originally established as a pencil manufacturer under the name Grossberger & Kurz Bleistiftfabrik. It was founded in close proximity to pencil manufacturers Staedtler and Faber-Castell as the area was surrounded by graphite and clay mines.
The company was later purchased by Gustav Schwanhäußer, adopting the swan as its logo to symbolise purity and beauty. Over the decades, Stabilo has grown into a global brand, known for its innovative designs, vibrant colours, and dedication to quality.
From the launch of the iconic Stabilo Boss highlighters and Point 88 fineliners in the 1970s to its wide range of pens, pencils, and markers available today, Stabilo continues to inspire creativity and productivity.
Manufactured in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Malaysia, Stabilo products are sold in over 180 countries, making them a staple for students, professionals, and artists worldwide.
