Schmincke Dot Cards are a great way of trying out a colour before investing and make a great colour chart to reference when working out what colours you will need for a particular painting.

The Schmincke Horadam Supergranulation Watercolour Paint 50 Dot Card features 50 unique colours divided into ten thematic groups: Volcano, Desert, Galaxy, Tundra, Deep Sea, Glacier, Shire, Forest, Haze and Urban. The distinctive feature of supergranulation colours is their natural tendency to granulate, creating beautiful textures on the painting surface.

In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, re-solubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam Watercolours contains only the finest raw materials. The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually tests their ingredients and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily rewetted and painted with again.
