Escoda Perla Brushes use white Toray, one of the finest quality synthetic fibres available for artists working with watercolours. It keeps an excellent point and edge for a soft, yet controlled application.
Escoda cures each brush to improve the spring and resilience of the hair. The round brush combines three diameters and three different lengths to achieve a perfect tip with the capacity to retain a large amount of paint.

I love the Perla series. They hold a lot of water and pigment.
These brushes are synthetic, and they hold a lot of water and pigment. They can take some getting used to, but Ive found they were worth the time and effort.
Not worth it
I've bought #12 Perla as I've seen so many watercolorists using it and being excited about it. Well, it's lost its pointy tip in less than a month which is a record even for the synthetic brush, usually they last longer (for the reference I'm painting every day as it's my main job). And now it's just a big expensive synthetic brush which I can use dry on dry, that's all. So I'm really not impressed. Personally I'd recommend to buy a good squirrel or kolinsky as their pointy tips last for ages. And for dry techniques you can use a brush which is ten times cheaper and it will still do the work pretty well.
