Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil is a popular oil painting medium used by artists to extend working time and improve paint flow. It slows drying, making it easier to paint in layers and follow the traditional ‘slow over fast’ rule by increasing the amount of linseed oil in successive layers. Used sparingly, it can thin oil colours and enhance transparency, and it is also a key ingredient in many traditional oil painting mediums, helping to create smooth, flexible paint films.
