Peg and Awl : Iris Painter's Palette : 12 Well

The Iris Painter’s Palette is a beautifully designed maple wood 12 well palette for watercolour and gouache. Inspired by the ivory palettes used by the ancient Egyptians, it comes with a vegetable tanned leather cover and is intended for artists who mix their own pigments or squeeze them directly from the tube.

Peg and Awl was founded by husband and wife team Margaux and Walter Kent. The Philadelphia-based makers take inspiration from the history and craftsmanship of found treasures, as well as the effect of the passage of time on abandoned objects. The beautifully handcrafted products are made from natural and often salvaged materials, making each piece unique and a perfect addition to the artists’ studio or plein air toolkit.
