Silver Brush Black Velvet brushes are made from a blend of Squirrel hair and a new type of synthetic filament called Risslon. Because they are blended, these premium short-handled brushes possess the durability and spring of a synthetic brush, and the liquid-holding capacity of a squirrel mop, making them a great investment. They are designed for use with water-based paint; principally watercolour, inks, dyes and silk-painting.
This is a Series 3009S Short-handled Oval Wash brush. It is a versatile brush which is perfect for large washes, but which also sharpens to a fine point which can be used for precise dropping-in of colour or for adding details. The black Risslon filaments are mounted in a black ferrule. Available in 3/4in or 1in sizes, of which this is the latter.
