The A. Gallo Classic Watercolour Set of 12 Full Pans contains a colour collection selected for maximum mixing range and versatility. It includes warm and cool primary colours, three natural earth colours, two secondary colours, and a neutral.
This set features a new Burnt Sienna made from natural earth pigment from the historical quarry near Arcidosso, Monte Amiata. Though the historical quarry, known as ‘La Sega,’ has long since closed, A. Gallo have been given special access to the stocks of this exceptional raw Sienna, which is calcinated in small batches. Also included is a brand new, extra vibrant Ultramarine Blue.
This set of twelve individually wrapped handmade full pans comes in a metal tin with two mixing surfaces, a printed colour chart, and a special edition A. Gallo Size 8 Tintoretto Synthetic Kazan Brush.
A. Gallo watercolours are available as individual half pans and full pans as well as special themed sets. Each pan is wrapped in watercolour paper with a handpainted sample brushed over it. The watercolour sets are beautifully packaged with original marbled paper by Florentine artisan workshop Giulio Giannini e Figlio and a colour chart printed on Arches watercolour paper. The colours are made by hand in very small batches. The watercolours are cadmium, cobalt, lead, and mercury-free.
