A great introductory set to the Akua ink range for printmaking. Use with monotype brushwork or roll up, intaglio, etching collagraph and more. This set contains three Akua Intaglio Inks, which are high quality, lightfast pigments. The inks have a thick consistency with minimal water content and contain no toxic driers – this means a longer working time. Akua Intaglio Inks can be thinned with the addition of the Blending Medium if they are too stiff to roll out or worked with a brush. The set also contains Pthalo Blue Akua Liquid Pigment which originally was developed for monotype printmaking and is a fluid, concentrated pigment.

Included in this set are two modifiers. Akua Transparent Base Modifier, designed to use with Akua Liquid Pigment for thickening it to create new intaglio and relief colours, and Akua Blending Medium, which can be used with both the Akua Liquid Pigment and the Akua Intaglio Ink. This clear colourless modifier is to be used to alter the consistency of ink for rolling out, brushwork, and wash effects, or used as a resist for viscosity monotypes.
