Isaro: Exceptional Paints with Belgian Craftsmanship
Isaro is a boutique Belgian brand founded by Isabelle Roelants. Isaro offers a selection of premium oil and watercolour paints known for their rich colour, smooth consistency, and excellent performance.
Drawing on a family legacy in pigment and paintmaking, Isaro blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to create paints that meet the highest standards of quality. Each colour, whether oil or watercolour, is formulated with pure pigments and high quality binders, resulting in paints that are highly pigmented and lightfast.
Isaro Oil Paint is known for its buttery texture, allowing artists to blend, layer, and glaze with ease. This smooth consistency provides a seamless application whether used in thick impasto techniques or delicate glazes.
Isaro Watercolour Paints are equally impressive, crafted with maximum transparency in mind to provide luminosity and excellent layering properties. Handmade in a Belgian atelier, Isaro watercolours use only the finest gum arabic, glycerine and acacia honey, ensuring clarity and vibrancy in every stroke.
Isaro's dedication to quality extends to their small-scale production process, allowing for meticulous attention to detail in every batch. This artisanal approach ensures that each tube of paint meets the exacting standards of professional artists.
With a heritage rooted in Belgian craftsmanship and a passion for colour, Isaro has quickly become a respected name among painters who seek both performance and authenticity in their materials.
‘All the colours were very pure and bright and I was especially impressed by the Cadmium Yellow Lemon which was exceptionally vibrant and strong.
Another colour which stood out for me was Isaro’s Ceruleum Blue which again was very clear, sometimes this can be a slightly muddy hue, but not in this range.’
