Jackson's : Handmade Soft Pastel : 28 Colours : Starter Set

Jackson's Handmade Soft Pastel Sets feature high quality, artist-grade pastels in a wide variety of themed and essential selections and the range features 200 colours.

Our Soft Pastels are made carefully by hand which makes them very soft with a smooth, buttery consistency. They have a low binder to pigment ratio which makes them rich and luminous, allowing for both subtle and bold mark making.

Their excellent lightfast qualities mean that pastel paintings created with them will not deteriorate over time. The four fluorescent colours are the only exception; like all fluorescent colours, they are not lightfast.

The pastels are made solely from pigments, a bentonite clay binder, and calcium carbonate (chalk). Each pastel measures approximately 55mm in length and 15mm in diameter.

This Starter Set of 28 pastels contains the following colours: White II (Warm White), Lemon (Daffodil Yellow), Deep Yellow, Vermilion Orange, Deep Orange, Wine Red, Deep Vermilion, Rose Grey, Pure Lavender, Red Oxide, Dark Red Brown, Dark Apricot, Light Apricot, Smalt Blue White, Smalt Blue, Light Cobalt Blue, Cobalt Blue, Deep Ultramarine Blue, Yellowish Green Field, Light Grey Green, Greenish Lemon, Viridian, Chromium Oxide Green, Dark Olive Green, Light Yellow Ochre, Green Tea, Cool Grey II, and Black.
