A high quality matt medium for reducing surface gloss and increasing colour depth in acrylic paints.
- Available in 237ml and 946ml
- Excellent quality
- Made with modified acrylic resin
- Archival quality
- Made in the US
Info
Liquitex Professional Matt Medium can be mixed with acrylic paints to reduce surface gloss and increase colour depth and transparency. This high quality acrylic medium lowers the viscosity of heavier body paints, increasing paint flow. It will also extend your colour further without affecting the paint's stability and integrity. Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality.
How to Use
- Mix as much as you like into acrylic colour to create the viscosity and transparency you want - the more you add, the thinner and more transparent your colour will become
- Can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give best results
- Stir gently to avoid creating foam - if bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles rise and disappear
- This is semi-opaque when wet, transparent when dry
- Mix with Gloss Medium to create a custom satin fluid medium
