Grounds help you create the ideal surface for your painting. You can tint them with colour or leave them white - a white ground will give your colours extra luminosity.
Gesso, grounds, and primers are applied to surfaces such as canvas, wood, and paper, forming a stable and absorbent layer for your chosen medium. Shop Oil Primer and Grounds, Traditional Gesso, Acrylic Gesso and Primer, Watercolour Ground, Pastel Primer, and other primers for airbrush, silverpoint, and more.
