Certificate of Authenticity
A Certificate of Authenticity is an important document to prove that an artwork is genuine. It offers information on what materials were used to create the work, and how best to keep it safe and in the best possible condition. It can also offer information on the provenance of an artwork for years to come. For a more professional result, consider using high quality paper stock. You might also want to invest in serial-coded stickers to further authenticate your certificate and matching artwork label.

Purchase
We're pleased to offer the Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity, a high quality certificate that ensures your artworks are authenticated and protected.
Each certificate includes a Hahnemühle watermark, fluorescent security fibres, and a serialised numbered hologram. A second, identically numbered hologram is then applied to the reverse side of the artwork.

1. Open the PDF Template
Open the Jackson’s Certificate of Authenticity template using a PDF viewer.
You can use an online PDF editor, or we recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader (free to download), which allows you to fill in the form fields provided.
If you have a paid Adobe Acrobat account, you can also insert an image of your artwork directly into the template.
2. Fill in Your Information
Enter your details into the designated fields using your chosen PDF editor.
If you cannot fill out the template digitally, skip to the section, Print the Certificate, and complete it by hand after printing.
3. Insert Your Artwork Image
If you have access to the full version of Adobe Acrobat (paid) or are using an online editor, you can insert an image digitally: Go to Tools > Edit PDF > Add Image.
Upload the photo of the artwork you are certifying.
If you’re using the free version, you’ll need to print the certificate first and then glue or tape a printed photo of your artwork into the box provided.
4. Arrange the Image
If inserting digitally, click and drag your image over the “X” placeholder on the certificate. Use the corner handles to resize the image proportionally so it fits neatly within the frame.
5. Fill In Your Corresponding Artwork Label
On the second page, you’ll find a smaller artwork label. Fill in the same details used on your certificate. This label is intended to be printed and attached to the back of your artwork.
Note: This document is A6 in size, so when printing, you may need to trim it to size using the crop marks provided.
6. Print the Certificate
Insert your preferred paper into your printer. Open the completed PDF and select: File > Print in your PDF viewer.
7. Authenticate Your Certificate and Label
If you haven’t filled out the certificate digitally, complete it by hand now.
Secure a printed image of your artwork in the image box using glue or double-sided tape.
Sign and date both the certificate and the artwork label in the spaces provided.
Attach the artwork label to the reverse of your artwork.
