As a result of the new lockdown restrictions we have become incredibly busy and short on experienced parcel packers. Whilst most orders are leaving in good time, some large orders are taking longer to be dispatched. We are working hard at rectifying the situation.
UK post and courier companies are also reporting huge nationwide demand for home delivery and this is putting strain on their usual delivery speed. Please bear with them.

EUROPEAN UNION
EU Parcel Services Suspended
Unfortunately DPD road services to Europe remain suspended and as a result we regrettably are unable to ship large packages and parcels to the EU. Please check this page for regular updates as an announcement is expected next week.
However, small orders totalling less than 22 euros (including postage) are available via postal services, no VAT or duty is payable on these orders.
REST OF THE WORLD
To check which delivery services are operating in your country please add the items you wish to purchase to your Basket and add your delivery address. The website will automatically show you which delivery services are currently available for that area. If none are displayed it means your area is affected by the courier's suspension of services or the items in your Basket can not be shipped to your address due to restrictions.
Please be aware services may face delays due to the effects of the pandemic in processing, delivery and clearing Customs depending on your parcel's destination.
We know how important it is to get to work quickly once inspiration hits. That's why for most UK mainland addresses, next working day delivery costs £2.50 for orders over £75, and is FREE for orders over £100.
We always aim to give you the best price. Because of this we use various shipping companies and calculate postage based on delivery location, size and weight of the order.
We discount shipping rates as much as possible and where we can, we will send orders free.

For orders with a value of over £45, UK standard shipping is free. Please note, different rules apply for UK non-standard and non-mainland addresses, please see below.
For small orders (weighing under 400g, roughly the weight of a set of 24 coloured pencils) with a value under £20, UK standard shipping is £1.50.

We track all orders where a tracked delivery service has been selected.
Please allow up to 24 hours from the time you receive your dispatch confirmation email before tracking.
Additionally, we track all orders with a value over £30 that are shipped to the USA or Canada, and all orders with a value over £50 that are being sent to the rest of the world.
Delivery for international postal orders is handled by UK postal services up until the point it arrives at the destination country. It is then usually taken over by local postal services. If your parcel qualifies for a tracking number, the number you receive will enable you to track your order both while it is in the UK and once it is received by local postal services in the destination country.
Not all services are trackable. If you require a tracked service please select it during checkout.
If you would rather collect your order, you can select delivery via CollectPlus (a service which allows you to pick up your order from a local shop) or select Click & Collect, to collect from one of our shops (available in London and Gloucester). Collection can be a convenient option if you would rather avoid waiting for deliveries.
Jackson's has partnered with CollectPlus so that you can avoid the inconvenience of waiting in for deliveries.
For UK orders, you can nominate one of over 7000 CollectPlus shops nationwide as the delivery address. Most CollectPlus shops are local convenience stores and are open in the evenings, as well as on weekends, so you can collect your order whenever is suitable for you.

CollectPlus 72+ is FREE when you spend over £39, including orders being sent to Non-Standard areas.

CollectPlus is not available for orders over 10 kgs or larger than 60 x 50 x 50cm.
Choose Collect+ as a delivery option in your basket. During checkout you will be given the option to search for your nearest collection point (opening hours will be listed at this stage).
CollectPlus will send you a text or email with a barcode when your parcel is ready for collection. Print this out or take your phone with you to the collection point along with ID to pick up your parcel.
If you place an order with CollectPlus on the weekend or bank holiday, it will be dispatched the next working day.
Order before 2pm on a Friday for delivery on the next working day, e.g Monday.
If you wish to return a bulkier item, CollectPlus is an easy way to send heavy parcels without visiting a post office. There are over 7000 CollectPlus locations in the UK, which are generally open early until late 7 days a week.

This service can be used for items up to 10kgs and a package size of 60 x 50 x 50cms (cabin bag size), for a fixed price of £4.49. You can pay by credit/debit cards and PayPal. Returns sent with Collect+ generally take 3-5 working days to reach us for processing.
Once you have printed the label please check the barcode is clear and then fix securely to the external packaging. Ensure that any other delivery or returns labels have been covered or removed from the packaging. You will receive a proof of postage receipt with tracking details when you deposit your package with the store. You can track your parcel at: www.collectplus.co.uk/track

You will only be able to see the Click & Collect option if you have a BA, GL or BS postcode (for collection from Gloucester) or a London postcode (for our Hackney and Fulham branches). How will the UK’s departure from the EU on the 31st December affect our customers?
For Customers in the EU
The rules for sending orders from our warehouse in the UK to customers in any of the EU countries will change on 1st January 2021, but because of new regulations being launched by the European Union they will change again on 1st July 2021.
From January to June 2021 your order will not have VAT added at our website checkout (as at present) but will instead be stopped at customs as it enters the EU and VAT will need to be paid at that point.
There will be no import DUTY payable on orders with a value of less than 150 euros, or orders containing any value of goods that contain only products manufactured within the UK or EU. For orders totaling more than 150 euros, containing goods originating from outside the UK/EU, it is possible that DUTY will need to be paid as well as the VAT, although the rates that would apply have still not been fully agreed between the EU and the UK government.
During these six months we will be giving our customers two options for the payment of these taxes if they are due:
1. Jackson’s/DPD will pay any VAT and Duty due on behalf of the customer to enable a seamless process from placing your original order to it being delivered to your doorstep.
2. The customer will settle any amounts due by means of a credit card payment direct to our carriers DPD. When this option is chosen DPD will send a text message with details of how much to pay and how to pay it. (from February)
During the first weeks of the new arrangements, we imagine that there may be delays of an extra day or two in delivery while the shippers and customs staff become used to the new systems and paperwork. We expect this to reduce substantially after a short while.
After 1st July 2021 the system will become much easier again as we will be allowed to register for VAT under a new system. This will enable us to add the VAT to your order at the checkout stage of our website and the packet will pass through customs without further delay or procedures. It will also allow us to make an economy shipping option available again.
This system is already in place for sales to Norway and is working well.
Please Note: we expect our website shipping changes to be implemented at approximately midday on the 29th of December, to give us time to ensure that all orders up to that point are delivered through EU customs before midnight on the 31st of December. All orders past the change will go through customs on or after the 1st of January.
For Customers in the UK
We are working hard to ensure that the impacts of leaving the EU have no noticeable effect on our customers, either in terms of the ease of purchasing, the availability of supplies, or the price of the products.
We already purchase goods from countries around the world and have many years of experience in dealing with customs and border requirements. Products bought from EU suppliers will now be treated in exactly the same way and although there will inevitably be additional costs in processing we hope to be able to absorb, or at least substantially limit, these and not pass them on to our customers.
As with deliveries from the UK to Europe, imports into this country may well be subject to additional delays, especially during the first few weeks when the systems are new to everyone, but we are already building up stocks where we can to tide us over this initial disruption.
