The result is a stable painting support that eliminates the flex of a stretched canvas while retaining the familiar texture and tooth of a canvas surface.
The terms canvas ‘board’ and ‘panel’ are often used interchangeably, although there can be a difference. Panels often refer to a support where canvas is wrapped around to the reverse, whereas boards tend to have clean, flush edges where the canvas stops at the front.
