Pooki Presses: Sustainable Printing Presses From The Forest of Dean
Pooki Presses are UK-based makers of portable and sustainable presses for relief printmaking.
Founded by Tim Baldwin - the designer, maker, and driving force behind the brand - Pooki Presses began during lockdown as a response to a gap in the market for well-made, accessible relief printing presses. The result was a printing press that is as practical as it is eye-catching.
From the start, local sourcing has been central to how Pooki Presses operates. Sustainable wood and laser-cut metal components come from just a few miles away, and everything else is sourced within around 35 miles. That commitment extends to packaging too, with every parcel sent out in recycled or recyclable materials.
Today, the Pooki Press range - including their most popular A3 and A4 options - is made entirely by hand in the Forest of Dean. Each press is built to be portable, durable, and straightforward to use, bringing reliable and sustainable relief printing within reach for artists at every level.
