This top-bound pad of 250gsm sheets is perfect for work with a range of medias and for mixed media work, including but not limited to acrylic, gouache, pencil, charcoal, graphite, pastels and light watercolour washes. Allowing a huge amount of versatility and potential. The natural coloured paper is a gorgeous ground to work off and can really add depth to any piece you’re doing as well as softening the effect of a medium. The heavy 250gsm likely textured paper is acid free and PEFC certified, making it a sensible choice for serious pieces of work

Clairefontaine actively participates in the development of French forests, by managing several hundred hectares of fir and spruce trees in the Vosges mountains. With regards to the paper mill itself in the Etival Clairefontaine region, it is still as dynamic 150 years after its conception. Self-sufficient for 80% of its own biological installations for water treatment, and has been rewarded a "Water trophy" by the State.
