Potters Pink (PR233) is a romantic, neutral, rose pink. This delicate pink was used in English watercolour painting in the 18th and 19th centuries. Daniel Smith’s Potters Pink has a stronger hue and tinting strength than the early versions of this colour.

Yes, as the previous reviewer said, this is a sort of plum colour, like a light maroon. I would not call it "rose pink". It makes a nice deep natural-pink stone colour from the tube, like deep red marble. It granulates quite a bit too, so I will use it for walls, maybe certain skies, rocky landscapes, ageing leaves. It dries hard and stone-like in the palette, and takes a while to re-dissolve in water, so from the palette it seems to come out light and washy, bitty and grainy. Not the 'soft pink" described.
