Info
Derivan Matisse Fluid Mediums Gesso is a permanent, flexible primer suitable for canvas, board and paper. It creates an intense white ground with excellent tooth. Water-based and easy to thin, Matisse Gesso can be mixed with equal parts water when applying to raw canvas or linen. It also helps tighten the canvas, creating a firmer painting surface.
Suitable for preparing surfaces for both acrylic and oil paints. For acrylics, two coats are recommended for full coverage. When priming for oils, first seal the surface with Matisse Matt Medium or Matisse Clear Sealer, then apply at least three coats of gesso. This helps prevent oil from the paint being absorbed through the gesso and into the canvas.
This is a 250ml pot of Derivan Matisse Fluid Mediums Gesso.
