An excellent product for the price, so extremely good value for money and it mixes well with other colours. I am a fan of W&N titanium white and use that a lot. In comparison Jackson's titanium white is much softer, so not so suitable for impasto work. I find it good for mixing colours at the early stages of the painting and, because of the price, not afraid to use lots of it. It is now my preferred white for the early stages of the painting. For a thicker consistency and those final flourishes, I still use the W&N.Most of my work is impasto, but, if painting in layers, I would think this paint would work well throughout the painting. Ive just ordered six tubes of this excellent paint which should take me through most or all of this summer. I have chosen tube paint now as it is easier to work with than the white I have been making myslef. ones habits can change ....I prefer this paint to winsor Newton s white, even , which I find too oily.
