This is just the right size for painting postcards - it's also nice and springy, holds a decent amount of water/paint, has a useful point to it, folds up nicely and doesn't feel too small or large in the hand.

I have used this brush for almost two years and it's my favorite. I use it on my travels and at home. It can make fine and broad lines, releases the color steadily and doesn't lose form. I heartily recommend it!

Rather stiff - I was looking for a softer texture - but buying online is always a gamble.

I use sizes 2, 4 and 6 for detail in watercolour (mostly 6). They hold enough paint, a good point, and have more control than my sables at this size. The size 6 is my 'go to' detail brush, though I paint mostly in a looseish style. Try it.

Very pleased. I use watercolour pencils for out door sketching. The brush has some spring, and this ideal for this medium. Planning to buy more. The size of the handle Makes it very comfortable to hold.

Excellent brush for watercolour. It's good for very fine details and big washes at the same time. This is the one I carry in my bag all the time.

I have just used it for the first time, but I had to go straight here to tell how lovely it is. The brush is wonderful for taking along, feels nice to paint with and looks... splendid ;) It is easy to replace the cap/handle over the bristles after use. I will have to add other brushes in the series to my wish list.

Nice brush that comes to a precise point and holds an ok amount of colour and water. Perfect for detailed work on the go!

I bought this as my secondary wash/cut around highlights brush. I was concerned that size 14 would be too small (these are similar to Escoda sizing) for that task but it works briliantly. It holds an amazing point, it's spingy and has very good capacity for a synthetic. Build quality is same as Escoda - excellent.

It is OK but not particularly inspiring. Did not bother to take it on my travels - preferred the Pro Arte travel brushes.

I absolutely love this brush! Snaps to a perfectly sharp point. I initially thought this would be heavy because of the metal body but it's not. It's perfectly balanced. The actual brush is a little different from the picture though. The Jackson's brand and series name is printed wooden part of the handle instead of the cap.

Currently my most used brush, holds plenty of paint, keeps an accurate point, balanced in the hand and close to the quality of the Escoda brushes at a much lower price.

The best synthetic brush I've tried so far. Relatively soft, holds shape and has very interesting water and pigment holding ability. Not like sable brushes but veery close. I like how the brush returns to its original shape after each stroke. The construction is also nice, hope it won't loosen in time. The white hair it's made of can become very tricky as it will stain in time and I won't be able to tell if there's some pigment left in there. More natural hair appearance would be better imho. Though this doesn't really affect the performance...

Just remember to wet it well before you start using - it's so soft, keeps its point and controllable as described! I love it! And you won't feel heartache digging into a rock hard pan watercolours :'D

I bought this brush because it popped up under another item I was looking at and it was cheap. When I received it I was surprised by how good the design and quality was; the wood-grain design on the inner part of the handle adds a bit of class. When closed up it is small enough to fit easily into any of the pan sets I have. The sizes seem to be a little smaller than average. I got this size 6 Artica brush and it is the same size as my size 5 DaVinci Cosmotop travel brush.

these are excellent brushes.after doing a lot of oil painting, as usual my tchnique becomes bit wooden, time to start some watercolor. so, having looked at these brrushes, since they came out, I went to town and bought load of them, just the right sizes. they are not the softest of brushes, but are superb for techniques requiring dry brush work, and fine detail, yet are good for washes also. the best quality is they retain their shape, I am using Artistco Fabriano paper, 200 LB , maybe heavier, and these brushes work well on this. for fine deatil I recommend them.
