Info
Jo Sonja Retarder Medium is an additive used to extend the open, or drying, time of Jo Sonja Matte Flow Acrylics and mediums. It can be used as a painting medium or for techniques such as antiquing, where a longer working time is required.
It can be added directly to palette colours, used to moisten the brush before painting, or applied to the surface to keep the paint workable for longer. Because it increases transparency as more is added, it also supports wiped and aged effects, but extra drying and curing time should be allowed before varnishing.
