Lovely pencils, well pigmented resulting in smooth watercolour effect. (Posted on 03/10/2015)

Lovely and soft - easy to blend and shade, not crumbly and easy to sharpen if care is taken. A good range of colours/shades. Vivid colours and good lay down of colour on a heavy and light touch. Not clear whether oil or waxed based but behave more like oil based pencils in colour lay down, blending (either dry or with a solution). Up there with my favourites - Faber Castell polychromos and Lyra Rembrandt and some slightly different shades to these two. (Posted on 19/09/2015)

Very nice pencils, smooth and bright, excellent value. Colour range mostly same as Mondeluz, except gold and silver have been included here. You won't regret having these! (Posted on 29/04/2015)

Koh-i-Noor means 'mountain of light' and all the items I've had from this company have borne testament to this. I've tried and compared Koh-i-Noor Polycolor with Polychromos. Lyra Rembrandt, Prisma, Derwent Coloursoft and Tombow Irojiten pencils. All the brands mentioned make excellent pencils (apart from Prisma whose colours are good, but whose pencils are badly manufactured ) but I find Koh-i-Noor best of all. The Koh-Noor polycolor pencils are well made, don't break and the colours are so rich that you can't help but stare at the page you've put them on. It does seem like a mountain of light and delight..
