Lefranc Bourgeois : Oil Additives

Lefranc Bourgeois offer a range of additives, made to work alongside their Extra Fine Oil Colours. These additives will help artists adjust the properties of oil paint, including glossiness, viscosity, texture, and drying time.

After laboratory research and close collaboration with artists, Lefranc Bourgeois were able to create colours that match the strength of genuine cadmiums. A range that doesn't rely on cadmiums offers artists a more environmentally friendly and less toxic alternative.

These highly pigmented colours have high colour intensity and lightfastness. They are very finely ground which ensures a smooth, homogenous consistency. Lefranc Oil Colours have firm, non-greasy, and uniform consistencies. Depending on the nature of the pigments, they are formulated from either linseed or safflower oil. Both oils guarantee colour strength and are selected according to the properties of each pigment.
