The Manetti Gilding Cloth is a fabric used during gilding to clean, dab, and gently dust decal leaf without scratching the surface. Measuring 17 x 12cm, it is designed for the delicate handling of gold leaf and other fine metal leaf during finishing work.
It is primarily used to clean the decal sheet and enhance its shine, while also helping to remove light surface dust and improve the leaf’s lustre. Its soft fabric construction makes it suitable for light burnishing and other careful finishing tasks where the surface needs to be protected.
