Manetti : Imitation Silver : Loose or Transfer

Manetti Imitation Silver Leaf is made from aluminium leaf, offering the appearance of genuine silver while providing an economical alternative to precious metal leaf. Available in loose and transfer formats, it is suitable for decorative gilding on a wide variety of prepared surfaces, including furniture, picture frames, artwork, and craft projects.

Manufactured in Italy, the aluminium leaf is thicker than genuine precious metal leaf, making it easier to handle and apply for both beginners and experienced gilders. Loose leaf is well suited to intricate and carved surfaces, while transfer leaf is attached to a backing sheet for greater control when gilding larger or flatter surfaces. Once applied, the leaf should be protected with a suitable sealant to help reduce tarnishing and extend the finish.
