Info
Michihamono's EZ Care Cloth works as a honing cloth to keep your tools sharp. It can be kept on your bench next to your woodblock and tools to ensure you make regular use of it while cutting. The cotton cloth is impregnated with an abrasive, equivalent to an 8000 grit polishing whetstone. It comes with a profiled maple wood block, over which the cloth is held. The block has round, square, and angled profiles of 45 and 60 degrees enabling you to polish the inside of V and U gouges, after using the flat side for the outer edges.
You will see when using the EZ Care Cloth that black streaks of metal particles from your tools edge appear, this is a normal part of the polishing process, the cloth is best left unwashed so as not to lose the abrasive compound within.
