Princeton Catalyst Polytip Bristle Brushes represent a major innovation in synthetic brush technology, combining the strength of natural hog bristle with superior durability and control. Each synthetic hair is split at the tip, creating two or three distinct ends to mimic the natural flags of traditional bristle. This unique Polytip design allows the brush to hold more paint while delivering a smoother, more even application.
Stiff yet highly responsive, Catalyst brushes are ideal for medium to heavy body acrylics, oil paints, and gel mediums. Unlike natural bristles, they retain their shape and stiffness in water, making them especially suited for acrylic painters. Designed to move paint confidently across the surface, these brushes offer excellent colour retention, precision and resilience for expressive, textured painting.
