Top of the range Kolinsky Sable brush from Raphael of France. Made to very high specifications this professional brush has a fine point and full body. Seamless nickel-plated brass ferrule and its distinctive orange tip. A brush to treasure.

The hair, which has a golden red fawn appearance, has incomparable vigour, springiness and elasticity. Thanks to it's flag, it is the perfect bristle for precision work and fine details. It is the ideal extra-fine hair for all artists' brushes, but historically it's price has been higher than gold.

I have been using these Raphael brushes for years. They are fantastic brushes for detailed delicate artwork. They remain sharp for years and it is possible to draw as fine a line with these brushes as you could with a pencil. Highly recommended. (Posted on 16/03/2017)

Order went through fine but collecting from Gloucester was confusing. No sales desk, no uniforms, didn't know if I was asking a member of staff or another customer. There was a group sat at computers who looked at me weird when I went in, took a guess and asked one of them. Success, I had my order!

I shouldn't have been that complicated. (Posted on 01/03/2015)
