One of the world’s finest water colour papers. A 100% cotton watercolour paper, with a structure giving it strength and a characteristic feel. The manufacturing process, using a cylinder mould, makes it possible to obtain harmonious and varied grains with rough, cold-pressed, hot-pressed quality and four deckled edges. The paper is gelatin-sized, and then air-dried, so that the colours retain a fine rendering even after being scraped and erased. It's natural whiteness (no optical bleaches), mildew protection and neutral PH mean that the paper has a very long shelf-life.

Beautiful paper. Easily the best I have used. It has a lovely texture and is good for washes as well as fine detail, and is very hard-wearing. It was delivered very well-wrapped and cut as requested. (Posted on 08/03/2016)

I've been going through many different types of paper recently, and I think this is my favourite. It is smooth enough for good detail, but rough enough to give a good impression of sun on grasses or water. I love the texture, but also the resilience. While painting figures recently I was forced to resort to the use of a rubber more than I would like, but the paper held up very well indeed. (Posted on 20/08/2015)

One of the lovliest Watercolour papers in my view, great texture a tough surface and good pricing - if bought loose and cut to 1/4 sheet you can work with a great 100% paper for a comparable 'per sheet' price to Bockingford Pad paper. Having only used this in 15x11 I cannot vouch for its cockle resistance in the larger sizes but I would suspect if you want to work in half sheet (15x22) or full sheet then 200lb paper or proper stretching might be sensible. 15x11 with masking tape and a not particularly wet painting style I have no issues with this paperIn the NOT paper the texture is slightly different on each side but I still use both sides quite happily. As a NOT paper I also find the texture rather smoother than something like Bockingford, it takes details and washes really well and lets you lift out cleanly. Dry brush work can be a little flat for me but maybe that is my technique (or maybe it is time I got some Rough to play with) Great paper and great value for money (Posted on 20/08/2015)

Did not cut paper to the size requested. However this is the first time they have let me down in the years I have been using the company. So the rating of poor is on the harsh side. (Posted on 12/08/2015)
