Ordered the A3 Snowdon Cartridge paper 130gms for general use in my studio and to see if I would like it for mono printing, which I do. It was on special offer which made it very good value and it is great for drawing on as well, in several different mediums - so far no bleeding, and also it takes my different types of acrylic including golden open very well. I ordered the A3 size to trial it for what I need, it is just right for my purposes so I will be back to order a pack of A2 soon. I have had no problems with using wetter acrylics like the fluid ones, though it probably will not take watercolour, but I did not buy it for that. It has not buckled with anything I have used and only curls very slightly at either of the long ends, a lift of about an inch, really negligible. It comes neatly wrapped in cellophane and was well packed in cardboard on arrival with no bent corners. If you want to use wetter acrylics it could be gessoes with a roller, a thicker coating would make it ok for light oil sketches too, especially the water miscible ones. I like this papers very slightly warm white and its smooth matt surface, and it is satisfyingly crisp. It is better than I anticipated so I am well pleased, I think it will be very versatile and as it is also acid free should stand the test of time. (Posted on 04/02/2023)
