Essdee Bench Hooks are practical studio tools designed to support both inking and cutting during relief printmaking. For inking, one lip is placed over the edge of a desk or table to hold the hook securely while ink is rolled out in preparation for inking a plate or block.
For cutting and carving, the bench hook is positioned with one lip over the table edge and the linoleum or wood block set against the opposite lip, which acts as a stable stop during work. The lino bench hook includes holes that allow the side bar to be switched, making it suitable for left-handed use as well as right-handed.
