Probably the most famous Sable water colour brush there is. Manufactured from only the finest pure Kolinsky Sable hair, in rust-proof, seamless nickel plated ferrules with black polished handles. Series 7 uses only the highest quality raw materials and enjoys hand made manufacture by brush makers with years of experience. For larger sizes, each brush is packed into an individual box with a tag included to indicate the name of the Series 7 brush maker who made that particular brush.

The tradition of excellence began in 1866 when Queen Victoria gave orders that Winsor & Newton be commanded to produce brushes of the finest possible quality in her favourite size; No.7. Now known as Series 7, these brushes have a long-established world wide reputation for excellence.

Review by Maroun
I gave it 4 stars because for an iconic brush, it performs a bit below what was expected. It does not mean however that this brush is not a good quality item. It does hold water better than similar sizes from other brands. (Posted on 08/06/2017)

It doesn't quite keep its point as well as it should. (Posted on 16/03/2017)

I thought it would be better than any other brush around, but Da Vinci and the cheaper Winsor and Newton are as good. (Posted on 07/03/2017)
