I prefer this a lot to using sand paper as the wooden paddle helps to keep your hands clean whilst drawing. (Posted on 08/07/2019)

perfect for obtaining a drawing point for Nitram charcoal and conte - I'd hesitated before buying this 'paddle' because it sounded expensive, but it is so useful, well made and of good quality. I use an old toothbrush to clean the surface, making sure to store the graphite powder residue for further use! (Posted on 19/03/2019)

VGood for sharpening charcoal sticks but being able to buy spare sheets, apart from the one supplied, would be a v good idea. The block itself is quite expensive. (Posted on 11/11/2016)
